Vin Anthony just couldn’t escape the musical bug. From a young age, Anthony recalls learning how to play guitar and falling in love with the special way music moves people. As an adult, Anthony attempted to pursue a career outside of music by his love of music was too much to overcome, so Anthony made the decision that this was his chance to chase down his lifelong dream. Fresh off, his new beautiful single, “‘My Everything”, Anthony is well on his to make this dream come true.
Recently, we had the chance to chat with Anthony about his musical journey, new single, and much more!!
Worlds Of Country: When did you know that you wanted to pursue a life in music?
Vin: I went in a few different directions as I became an adult, but I knew music was my dream when nothing else felt like it was right. As I was growing up, the moments that I was alone in my room learning the guitar were the best moments of my life. As I got older and tried to pursue a different career, I came back to those moments and realized that nothing else would ever make me happier than making music.
Worlds Of Country: Once you knew, what was your first step towards making this dream a reality?
Vin: I wrote and created as much as possible. I met other people in the country music world who were passionate about creating too, and that first real step was connecting with others and taking a step out of my comfort zone. I’m so glad I did because not only did it advance my career and give me opportunities, it also introduced me to a lot of awesome people.
Worlds Of Country: How would you describe your musical style?
Vin: I enjoy creating true country rock and new country music. I’m inspired by people like Garth Brooks and Jason Aldean who are always creating something new while never losing sight of what their audience enjoys. Even when the subject matter changes, I still create music that has that undeniable twang to it.
Worlds Of Country: Who would you say most influenced this style?
Vin: George Strait. He is so original and a trailblazer for this industry and genre. I always want to create something that is original but a reminder of how we can evolve and do things better. I think he’s really accomplished that in his career.
Worlds Of Country: What’s the story behind your new single, “My Everything”?
Vin: “My Everything” is about the real love I’ve seen around me. Sometimes I’m surprised how some couples love each other. It isn’t about gaining anything from the relationship, it’s about loving that person for who they are and what they bring to your life. I wanted this song to be emotional and sweet because I think we’re all suckers for a love song.
Worlds Of Country: What’s next for you?
Vin: I’m currently working on an EP that blends my style with all the types of songs I’ve written before: emotional songs, fun songs, and true cowboy songs. I also may have a music video for this single dropping soon!
